Indonesia is world’s 3rd largest nutmeg beans producer*1, after Guatemala and India. Indonesia is also the 4th largest nutmeg exporter by volume in global market*2.
Nutmeg is largedly consumed as spices in cooking, baking, beverages, and herbal medicines. Global demand for nutmeg is growing steadily due to rising preferences for spices, both natural and organic. While demand for nutmeg essential oils and extracts are increasing in personal care and cosmetics industry due to nutmeg’s anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits.
We source nutmeg from plantations in East Nusa Tenggara province.
