Cacao Beans
Indonesia is world’s 3rd largest cacao beans producer*1, after Ivory Coast and Ghana. Largely consumed locally makes Indonesia as only one of the leading cacao beans exporter globally*2.
There are 3 variety of cultivated cacao beans:
o Forastero: most common variety
o Criollo: higher quality, lower yield
o Trinitario: hybrid variety
We source cacao beans (Forastero variety) from Sumatra Island, mainly Lampung and West Sumatra. Both areas are among 2 of top 10 cacao producing provinces in Indonesia*3.

Coffee Beans

There are 3 variety of cultivated coffee beans:
o Arabica: Smooth flavour profile
o Robusta: Higher caffeine content than Arabica (hence stronger & bitter taste)
o Liberica: Unique and distinct taste (a bit woody)
We source coffee beans (Arabica and Robusta) from Sumatra Island (Lampung and West Sumatra) as well Java Island (Central Java and East Java). All are top coffee producing provinces in Indonesia.

Cloves
As the native home of cloves, Indonesia is world’s largest cloves producer*1. Indonesia is also world’s largest cloves exporter by volume in global market*2.
Cloves in Indonesia largely used in local market as main ingredient of cloves cigarettes (kretek). While in global market, there is a growing trend of health conscious consumer influencing the growing demand of organic cloves applications in food and beverages, personal care and cosmetics, as well as pharmaceuticals.
We source cloves from plantations in Sumatra Island, mainly Lampung and West Sumatra.

Turmeric
Indonesia is the 5th largest turmeric producer world wide, also one of top 5 turmeric exporter in global market**.
Turmeric in Indonesia widely use as one of ingredient in local cuisine and drink. Global demand for turmeric is increasing due to increase interest in health benefits influencing the increase of turmeric (curcuma) applications in foods, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and nutraceuticals.
We source turmeric from plantations in Java Island.
